Disney’s nearly century-long history is itself an epic of time.
From Steamboat Willie to Zootopia, its characters and stories
have become cultural markers of different eras. This product
uses time as a narrative thread to revisit Disney’s animated
films, showcasing its evolution and historical milestones,
while reawakening the joy and warmth embedded in
collective memory.


DESIGN PHILOSOPHY

The product translates the abstract concept of time into
three accessible collecting branches:

RETRO - FUTURE - TIMELESS

Each branch is assigned its own distinct visual language, allowing collectors to identify the corresponding card types at a glance and creating a distinctive product architecture.
This concept makes the time theme more accessible while reinforcing the products' unique collectible identity!


EXCHANGE FORM

The product incorporates a familiar card-collecting chase structure across the three branches, with each branch featuring exclusive limited serial numbered cards and refracter parallels cards.

This creates a clear rarity hierarchy while reinforcing the distinct identity of each branch.

The three branches are differentiated by distinct production techniques.

The design draws inspiration from stained glass windows of medieval cathedrals, presenting “honor” in a solemn visual style, with the letters subtly integrated into the card design.

The design references Op Art, which creates dynamic optical illusions through precisely arranged lines within static compositions. This “motion within stillness” effect reflects the nature of time: although intangible, its passage can still be felt.

The alternation of the sun and moon represents an ancient and eternal order. This symbolism is extended into the narrative core of the films: the sun embodies light, hope, and rebirth, representing heroic characters, while the moon symbolizes darkness, mystery, and fate, corresponding to villains.
The design draws on the color palette of classical art, creating a composition that is both solemn and refined. The central “sun and moon” imagery also incorporates a puzzle-style mechanic, adding an extra layer of collectibility and ceremonial appeal.
